On 10 May, members of the SSC research unit participated in the Live TREE Demonstrators Day: From demonstrators of the ecological and societal transition to a sustainable and desirable neighbourhood
Since 2014, the Catholic University of Lille has been committed to the Third Industrial Revolution, now rev3, by setting up the federative programme Live TREE (Lille Vauban-Esquermes in Energy, Ecological and Economic Transition). Within this framework, the University’s establishments have developed a dozen demonstrators: smart buildings, smart grids, green mobility, nature in the city, urban agriculture experiments, etc.
The aim of this day was to share feedback on the various demonstrators developed and also to publicise other projects related to the themes of the day.
>On the topic “How to make the ecological transition desirable in order to bring everyone on board? Hervé Barry addressed the pivotal role of occupants in the quest for performance;
>On “The importance of bringing nature back to the city and the interest of local agriculture”, Laëtitia Devigne presented the HangArt Créatif roof greening project and Sadia Benamrouz-Vanneste the IUPI project;
> Concerning “The contribution of university demonstrators to the neighbourhoods of the future”, Fateh Belaïd was able to discuss the subject of technical and social dimensions and how to combine them in the city of tomorrow?
