After a Master of Science in Finance at Bilkent University in Turkey, Baran Siyahhan followed a PhD for 5 years in Vienna entitled “Three Essays in Financial Economics.” In 2010, he left Austria for Denmark where he became a professor-researcher in finance at Aarhus University for 6 years. In 2016, Baran taught and developed research projects at the Institut Mines-Telecom Business School in Evry-Courcouronnes until the end of January 2022, when he joined the FGES.
A researcher in finance, Baran’s work focuses on corporate finance (venture capital and venture capital), industrial organization & digital finance (bi-directional markets and platform economics) and corporate social responsibility.
