Explorers of Transition Chair
Thanks to the expertise acquired within the framework of the “Live Tree transition campus”, the Chair offers co-constructed solutions, to facilitate the energy and societal transition of companies and territories (studies, research, training, experiments ). The Chair relies as much on the transformation of organizations as on that of the practices of users and beneficiaries.
Directed by Benoit BOUREL, Vice-Rector in charge of Social Responsibility, the name Explorers of the Transition alone signifies the desired model: it invites its partners to explore, according to modalities to be defined together on a case-by-case basis, the social, organizational and economic conditions of this transition. It is through this ecosystem of action that the Chair wishes to exercise its roles of training, service to society and production of knowledge. The Chair’s committee of partners periodically brings together its stakeholders for a sequence of information, discussions and meetings. Depending on the situation, the Chair combines consultancy and studies, research, training and the promotion of social participation.
The Chair is very involved in the Rizomm building, which has been one of the flagship axes of the Live Tree program since the start of the 2018 academic year, becoming the first socio-technical demonstrator of the campus’s energy transition.
The main issue addressed by the Chair is the social component of the transition, in its interactions between users and technologies, hence the socio-technical approach often mentioned.
The priority subjects developed by the Chair:
- mobility management,
- energy performance management,
- the conditions for the transition of territories.
The Explorers of Transition Chair is therefore a key player in Live Tree at the Catholic University of Lille and a stakeholder in the Rev3 dynamic in the Hauts-de-France Region.
